About my work

My design work lives at the intersection of responsible design, modernism & elegant simplicity. Placing emphasis on typography, color & white space. My process begins by visualizing an overall story for the project, making it impossible to ignore. I like to incorporate stories into my designs to have an emotional connection with the users and combining it with interactions to give them the control over it.

My

Process

3 Steps of My Process

Inspiration awakens us to new possibilities by allowing us to transcend our ordinary experiences and limitations. So finding the right inspiration is where I start my design process. I love when the whole team is involved in this step as it helps all of us to understand which direction we want to move forward in.
Inspiration can be found everywhere from nature to machines. There are plenty of interfaces and design inspiration websites out there. I usually go for Documentaries, Movies and Websites like Pinterest and Dribbble. Once it clicks, it usually sets the overall tone of the project and its outcome.

Design for me is creating solutions for the people through a product or an interface. It is important to understand the problem thoroughly before trying to find the solution for it. To understand the problem it is a good practice to ask the users themselves rather than assuming it. User Research is the first step of my design process.
The User Research, helps me in understanding the pain points of the consumer, which helps me to think better when Sketching to design the Prototype. Prototyping usually goes from drawing boxes on paper to detailed mockup on the laptop. After the design reaches its high fidelity stage its time to add interactions and animations. After this its time to test the design among probable users and colleagues.

Art is for the artist but design is for the people. No design is valid until it is out in the world being used by real-time users. After the design stage its time to go for User Testing. After the User Testing, there is always some insights received in feedbacks and observations, I get back to the drawing board to patch up the design. After that its the most rewarding experience to see the users interacting with the design and the design giving them a feeling of convenience or joy.
In the end I believe in providing value to the users through my designs, more often than not when the value is higher than the price for the user, it creates a wonderful user experience. I always try to maintain my winning ratio while designing.

About

Me

Hey Hey ! This is me Rishit Bhalja. I would like to start by saying thank you for showing interest into knowing more about me. Here I am going to talk about my personality, my journey and some fun facts about me.
I am a highly focused individual who has experience working in team environments. I am able to handle multiple tasks and tend to use creative approach for problem solving. I am dependable and organized while working on a tight deadline. Even though I take my work seriously, I do have a good sense of humor.
I discovered User Experience as a career option when I combined my coding skills with my creativity during my bachelor's. I started to freelance as a Website Designer and that's when I realized that I enjoyed designing more than coding, as you get to see the outcome of your efforts instantly and everyday, since than I've been learning and working on User Experience Design.
Besides work, I love playing basketball and I am highly inspired by one great Kobe Bryant. I also enjoy cooking delicious Indian delicacies for people around me. And just like everybody else I like spending some days just doing "Netflix & Chill".
