Flygkraft AB is a startup based in Gothenburg, Sweden. The startup aims to make fossil-free energy resources like Solar Energy, Wind Energy, and Hydropower more reliable in Nordic countries by providing Energy Storage solutions to Large and Small scale consumers. Its mission is to make it easy for consumers to shift to fossil-free electricity and also be profitable in the long run. Their hero product is the battery management system which helps them to store energy in second-life batteries.
Flygkraft AB was in it's seeding phase when I got into contact with them. Furthermore after few meetings and discussion with the board we agreed upon creating a Brand Identity for the startup. Logo, Style Guide, Website Design & Development, User Research and Social Media Marketing were the main factors that I was trusted to be responsible for.
The main role played here was of a UX Designer. While working with Flygkraft AB I have bestowed the responsibility of making a one-page website to explain their concept to the investors and clients. Furthermore, we felt on working on Brand Identity and a Style Guide. Startups are usually great opportunities to carry out more than one role, we together worked on coming up with a minimal viable product. For After the development of the MVP we started pitching investors and clients at the same time taking constructive feedback for the same.
During my tenure at Flygkraft AB, we created the logo and the brand guide that sits right with the startups vision. Once the whole board was happy with the logo and style guide we filed for the copyright & trademark of the logo. After working on branding, the Website was the next step successfully accomplished. The focus from there on was on making necessary user research by meeting potential clients such as farmers, landowners & large-scale companies. Based on the data from the user research we managed to roll out the first version of the minimal viable product. With the developed MVP it was easier to pitch the concept and we successfully had the first pilot customer for the startup.
Experience: I had the opportunity to understand the energy sector in Sweden thanks to Flygkraft AB. We dealt with both large-scale companies like Benders, Tosito & Yuasa and small-scale industries like Farmers, Real Estate Owners & Home Owners. This gave me a lot of knowledge about the Grid System in Sweden and Battery Storage Technology. Skills: I learned how to prepare a pitch for investment for a startup, at the same point I learned how to make my design adaptable to change by designing a brand guide. I used software like Adobe XD, Webflow, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Blender for this project.
